Indigo Cimarrón Lotion (Tincture 10%) . It is Phytopharmaceutical . It is recommended as an analgesic , anti-inflammatory and phlebotonic . Locally it has an antiseptic effect . Is used to combat circulatory disorders , Hepatobiliary disorders , amenorrhea , arthritis , seizures , skin diseases , dysmenorrhea , eczema , boils , hemorrhoids , herpes , immunosuppression , infectionand inflammation .

- Plant species Indigofera suffruticosa Mill. 100 mg
- 70% ethyl alcohol qs 1 mL

Toxicology
- Contains toxic amino acids , indospiscin (chemical analog of arginine ), hydrocyanic acid .
- The presence of canavalain has also been shown.
- Its use orally causes affections in the reproductive and nervous system.
- In animals and humans, when used in overdose as a purgative, it can cause diarrhea and muscle spasms , very similar to those produced by strychnine .
- It is one of the plants that are included in the list of those associated with teratogenic effects, abortions , fetal resorption and infertility in animals. Poisoning caused by other species of the genus (Indigofera enneaphila and Indigofera endecaphila) in horses and cattle has been observed drowsiness and immobility, ocular and nasal secretions, rapid weight loss , difficult breathing, severe incoordination, wear of hooves, nervous incoordination, loss of appetite and abortion .
- Decreased weight gain has been observed in birds. The characteristic symptoms of cyanide are present.
