Batmen (Cream)

BATMEN Cream 0.25% is suitable for the treatment of particularly sensitive skin regions, large surfaces and in which a long-term repetitive treatment is necessary (maximum 4 weeks). It can be used in children and the elderly.

Composition

1 gram of cream contains 2.5 mg of prednicarbate (INN) in an oleo-aqueous emulsion (O / A).

Indications

Batmen is indicated in dermatoses of the hairy areas of the body (eg: scalp, beard, armpits and pubis) that respond to treatment with topical corticosteroids, such as psoriasis, atopic eczema and seborrheic eczema. BATMEN solution can also be administered for the treatment of these diseases in regions such as the palm of the hand and the soles of the feet.

Batmen solution with applicator makes it easy to apply to large areas of the skin.

Contraindications

It should not be used: – in patients with hypersensitivity to prednicarbate or any of the excipients. – In the eyes. Even the application of BATMEN -if prolonged- in the immediate vicinity of the eyes must be preceded by a careful risk-benefit assessment and must only be carried out under medical supervision since, when small doses of topical corticosteroids repeatedly come into contact with the conjunctiva an increase in intraocular pressure may develop over time. It should also not be used for the treatment of: – skin reactions caused by vaccinations, – skin manifestations of tuberculosis, syphilis or viral infections (eg chickenpox), – acne rosacea, – perioral dermatitis, as there is a risk of deterioration the defensive condition of the environment. – They contain a paraffin that can cause leakage or breakage in latex condoms, therefore contact with BATMEN should be avoided. – The use of BATMEN solution in infants and young children is not recommended, as there is insufficient clinical experience in this age group with this formulation.

Precautions

  • Avoid contact with the eyes.
  • In case of local bacterial or fungal superinfections, an additional antibacterial or antifungal treatment should be carried out.
  • The administration of BATMEN -in all its forms- in children should be carried out with caution, limiting itself to the lowest dose compatible with an effective treatment.
  • The short-term application of too high doses (use of excessive amounts of BATMEN, application over an excessively large area or applications too frequent) or forgetting the treatment for once is not expected to cause harmful effects. Patients are advised to inform their physician of such deviations from the intended treatment.

Adverse reactions

Experience indicates that if the product is used properly, no side effects such as skin atrophy, telangiectasia or distensive stretch marks are to be expected (maximum uninterrupted duration of treatment: 4 weeks). Rarely itching, local skin irritations (burning, flushing, oozing), as a sign of an allergic skin reaction; folliculitis. In the case of the application of ointment or cream, a burning sensation may occasionally occur. Due to the alcoholic content of the solution, local skin irritation such as light and transient burning, erythema and dry skin may occasionally occur. Rarely itching, local skin irritations (burning, flushing, exudation, pustules) as a sign of an allergic skin reaction. In isolated cases, folliculitis may appear.

Posology

BATMEN cream is a galenic formulation suitable for acute dry or exudative skin processes.
