Early years


After getting married, Otto and Edith Frank settle in Frankfurt am Main. The children are not long in coming: Margot in 1926 and Ana in 1929 . The first years are happy, but the economic crisis makes Hitler’s NSDAP gain ground. In 1933 , Hitler assumed command of the German government. Ana’s parents are very concerned and are looking for a solution.

Otto Frank has the opportunity to found a company in Amsterdam . Edith, Margot and Ana meet him in Holland , it was 1933 . They settle in a house overlooking Merwede Square. The Franks feel free and safe again. The girls go to school, Otto works hard in his company and Edith takes care of the house. But then World War II breaks out .
