Afrin

 It is a decongestant that shrinks the blood vessels in the nasal passages. Dilated blood vessels can cause nasal congestion (stuffy nose).

Therapeutic indications

• Afrin®  : It is for the quick and temporary relief for 12 hours of nasal congestion and dryness caused by the common cold and chronic sinusitis. It contains glycerin and other agents that relieve the dryness that accompanies respiratory discomfort.

Dosage and route of administration

• Infant: for children from 2 to 5 years old: 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril, every 12 hours. The applicator can also be used as a dropper, in this case apply 2 to 3 drops in each nostril. • Adults and children over 6 years: 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril, every 12 hours. Do not exceed the recommended dose or shorten the interval between administrations. Sharing the applicator can facilitate the transmission of infections. Route of administration: nasal.

How to use

With your head in an upright position, place the applicator in your nostril , squeeze and quickly release the center of the bottle; spray 2 or 3 times in each nostril.

Containdications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the formula. It should not be used in people with heart conditions or high blood pressure. Do not administer during pregnancy and lactation. Do not use this product for more than 3 days. Infant: do not administer to children under 2 years of age. Adult: do not administer to children under 6 years of age.

Side Reactions

There may be discomfort such as burning, stinging and dryness in the nasal mucosa or sneezing.
